Description
Intro to JAVA provides students with the beginning knowledge and skills needed to design, write, and implement basic JAVA programs. Topics include logic/algorithm development, control structures, variables, input/output, modular designs, debugging techniques, beginning use of classes and objects, and object-oriented programming concepts. Students will write programs that implement basic topics mentioned above to solve simple problems. The focus in this level is to convert human logic into computer logic and be able to translate human thinking into programming statements with functional programs for problem solving.

For a full refund you must contact the Workforce Development and Community Education office at least 72 hours before the first session. Withdrawals within the first week receive a 75% refund. Refunds are not given for classes that have three or fewer sessions, with the exception of the above 72-hour refund request.
