Description
PHLEBOTOMISTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TAKING PATIENTS' BLOOD SUPPLES. THIS CAN BE DONE BY PLACING A NEEDLE IN THE ARM OF THE PATIENT AND USING A SYRINGE TO PULL THE BLOOD OUT. A PHLEBOTOMIST MAY ALSO ATTACH AN IV TO A PATIENT TO TAKE BLOOD OR TO INSERT MEDICATION. OFTEN, YOU CAN FIND PHLEBOTOMISTS WORKING IN LABS AND IN HOSPITALS OR DOCTOR'S OFFICES.
