Description

Classes are held Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.


This 107-hour, 10 week training course will prepare the successful student with the skills required to secure a job as an entry-level welder.


Students will learn hands-on arc welding process in the flat, vertical, and overhead positions in the following: 


Fillet welds on carbon steel plate (all positions)



  • Gas metal arc and fluxed core arc welding on carbon steel plate 

  • Fillet welds on carbon steel with tig

  • Stainless Steel + Aluminum welding with G.T.A.W


This course will provide students with:



  • Blueprint reading

  • SMAW – shielded metal arc welding

  • GMAW – gas metal arc welding

  • FCAW – fluxed core arc welding

  • Plasma arc cutting 

  • Carbon arc cutting

  • Oxy/Fuel cutting with both hand and machine torches

  • Safe and proper setup and the use of welding equipment and tools
