Description
Classes are held Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 3:00 pm
Clinicals hours are 6:45 am - 2:45 pm in the Clinical Setting
This 6-week (225) hour training course is designed to prepare and educate students to work in a healthcare setting. Students will learn basic health care information, job responsibilities as a resident care team member, and legal aspects of resident care.
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Take reading and math exam (TABE)
- Pass criminal background check and drug testing
- Transportation
- Registered with Selective Service (Males only)
Curriculum: fundamentals of nursing, anatomy and physiology in both a classroom and clinical setting. In addition, professional conduct and employability skills are emphasized with each phase.
Certifications: Upon successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant Course, the individual will take the State of Delaware Nursing Assistant Exam.
Course Hours: Completion of the Certified Nurse Assistant Course is 225 hours. 150 hours of classroom theory and skills practice and approximately 75 hours of clinical practice.
