Description
This 7-week training course is designed to prepare and educate students to work in a healthcare setting. Students will learn basic health care information, job responsibilities as a resident care team member, and legal aspects of resident care.
Requirements:
18 years or older
High school diploma or GED
Valid Drivers License
Take read and math exam (TABE)
Pass criminal background check and drug testing

Curriculum: fundamentals of nursing, anatomy and physiology in both a classroom and clinical setting. In addition, professional conduct and employability skills are emphasized with each phase.
Certifications: Upon successful completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant Course, the individual will take the State of Delaware Nursing Assistant Exam.
Course Hours: Completion of the Certified Nursing Assistant Course is 170 hours. 95 hours are devoted to the classroom theory and skills practice and approximately 75 hours are devoted to clinical practice.
