Description
Classes are held from 7:30 am - 3:300 pm, Monday - Friday
This Course wil provide students with:
- Twelve (12) Weeks of 420 hours of Training.
- 50% of the course is classroom instruction comprised of reading, math, safety, HVAC, electrical, refrigeration, heating, air distribution, blue print reading, piping, brazing, geothermal heat pump, residential energy and AHRI Efficiency Standards.
- 50% of the course is hands-on training in the career lab.
Curriculum
- HVAC installation apprentice
- HVAC service technician apprentice
- Commercial and Residential building maintenance
- Sheet Metal – Introduction – Constructing air duct transition
- Advanced Electrical: 120/240 volt power distribution system. Electrical controls, meter skills, print reading & applied trouble shooting.
Certifications achieved upon course completion:
- NCCER Core
- NCCER HVAC Level 1
- EPA Section 608 Certification
- 1st Year Apprenticeship Certification
- 10 hour OSHA
Requirements:
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Driver’s License
- Pass reading and math exam (TABE)
- Pass criminal background check and drug testing
- Transportation
- Registered with Selective Service (Males)
