Description
Classes are held from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm, Monday – Friday
The Practical Nursing course, approved by the Delaware Board of Nursing, and the nursing education program is Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). The program provides an opportunity for the students to successfully study and learn the course requirements to take the licensure examination after graduation.
After passing the licensure examination, students will work full-time in the health care field as a Licensed Practical Nurse, providing bedside care to assigned patients. The program includes both classroom and clinical learning experiences in various nursing facilities in New Castle County.

- Medical Laboratory Procedures
- Basic Health Care Skills
- A science core for scientific basis of practice
- A professionalism core for job readiness and professional conduct.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizen & Delaware resident at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license & Social Security Card (must be presented at time of application)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Letters of reference
- Pass Nursing Entrance Exam
- Pass a criminal background check (All Levels), child & adult abuse registry checks, and drug screening
