Duties
- Develop, issue, and maintain risk policies and procedures related to EPA and OSHA
- Implement and maintain programs as required by law
- Preparing and enforcing policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluating practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Accident/incident investigations and reports
- Filing workers' compensation claims, interacting with insurance carriers, and assisting HR with coordinating return to work
- Prepares and administers safety training programs
- Serves as Subject Matter Expert on environmental, health, and safety matters
- Prepare and distribute safety training policies and procedures
- Possess a working knowledge of the safety functions
- Knowledge of Delaware Worker's Compensation Laws
