As a Chief Cloud Architect supporting Army PEO EIS, you will be trusted to work on providing oversight of all project aspects focusing on fulfilling business and technical performance, cost, and schedule objectives for delivering a product or service. This position with be worked remotely.
In this role, a typical day will include the responsibilities below:
+ The Chief Cloud Architect shall assign engineering and design tasking requirements to personnel and supervise on-going cloud technical efforts.
+ This person shall be readily available to respond to Government questions, concerns, and comments, as well as be proactive in alerting the Government to potential contractual or programmatic issues.
+ Responsible for the development and maintenance of the Cloud Roadmap and operations to achieve the strategic objectives. Works with program leadership to ensure this cloud roadmap is aligned with and supports the enterprise architecture/mission and business needs.
+ Collaborates with all Technical work streams to ensure projects comply with directives, roadmap, and that services running in production cloud environments are delivering on the intended objectives.
+ Chief Cloud Architect provide business and technical strategy, solution development and technical guidance to develop, maintain, and market missions set solutions based on cloud service offerings.
Required qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of fifteen years IT experience of which 5 years must be in the cloud environment.
Experience should include:
+ A Bachelor’s degree in computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software
+ 7+ years technical experience in architecture/design
+ Experience and understanding of Infrastructure as Code, Automation, and Orchestration
+ Solution development and application, software architecture and cloud solutions;
+ Experience in AWS implementation to include core AWS resources (VPC, EC2, S3 etc.) and advanced AWS resources (lambda, cloud front)
+ Experience in setting up AWS Cognito Identity and Access management tool and ADFS and providing access to integrate applications via API Gateway
+ Experience with Docker, Chef/Puppet, Selenium and Atlassian tool suite a plus
+ Knowledge and experience in building APIs within AWS and API Transit Gateway
+ Experience with Agile methodologies and tools. Continuous Integration & Continuous
+ Planning, directing, and managing complex IT engineering projects/operations of a nature similar in size and scope;
+ Knowledge and experience in infrastructure design and engineering; up-to-date knowledge of current and emerging network and infrastructure technologies
+ Demonstrated experience with the management and supervision of a significant number of Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineers of various labor categories and skills in projects similar in size and scope;
+ Demonstrated skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials
Preferred qualifications:
+ AWS Solution Architect Certification
+ Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master
+ Certified SAFe Practitioner and/or Certified SAFe Agilist
+ ITIL Certified
