Summary:
In this role, you will be a key contributor to Facebook’s Global Energy Team. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, including: managing contract deliverables, supporting contract negotiation, monitoring project development status, coordinating contract amendments, maintaining contract documents and data, and enforcing contact terms and conditions regarding cost, RECs and performance. A strong candidate will have the ability to master contract details, understand impacts of key provisions, evaluate risks, resolve disputes, and propose creative solutions. Strong communication skills and the ability to form partnerships and influence key stakeholders are essential for this position.
Required Skills:
1. Serve as the ongoing owner for all of Facebook’s executed renewable energy contract requirements
2. Create, maintain, update and track documents and data related to renewable energy contracts
3. Track counterparty compliance with contract milestones and other deliverables
4. Support invoicing and reporting on renewable energy contracts, and ensure that RECs, costs and project performance are consistent with contract terms and conditions
5. Respond to counterparty inquires and manage contract amendments, collateral, force majeure claims, and other issues as needed
6. Manage approval and signature process for contract documents after execution
7. Surface and resolve issues in ongoing contracts and project operations
8. Coordinate with legal counsel, finance, accounting, purchasing, accounts payable/receivable and other key stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
9. Bachelor’s degree in business, energy or environmental science, paralegal studies or similar
10. 5+ years of work experience with an electric utility, energy supplier, project developer, or energy intensive industrial or consumer company
11. Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts, especially wind and solar energy supply contracts
12. Experience drafting official correspondence between counterparties and experience developing and maintaining partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
13. Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
14. Experience in building cross-functional relationships
15. Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data
