Orthopedic Technician

Setting: Healthcare Facilities

Job Type: Contract – Full Time

Pay: $30 / Hour

Hours: 37.50

Location: Newark, DE

The Orthopedic Technician works directly under the
supervision of a physician or appropriate licensed practitioner. The Orthopedic Technician assists with
splinting and casts, as well as minor orthopedic procedures as directed by the
physician. The Orthopedic Technician may
also assist with preparing personal assistive devices and training for use by
the patient.

Minimum Requirements:

+ High school diploma or GED required

+ Completion of Orthopedic Training Program and Certificationby the National Board for Certification of Orthopedic Technologists (NBCOT)preferred or may be required by state/contract

+ Basic Life Support CPR, required

+ Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS, may be required basedupon specialty

+ 2-4 years of related experience preferred

+ Medical Assistant experience preferred

+ Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age
