Job Description
A class incumbent is responsible for managing a multifaceted social services program on a countywide basis.
- Responsible for a staff of over 70 supervisory, professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff.
- Annual operating budget of 2.3-3.0 hundred thousand dollars.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Social Services County Operations Manager I
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
- Three years experience in providing, coordinating, and monitoring the delivery of professional social services to children, youth, and their families.
- Three years experience in ensuring compliance with laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Six months experience in health or human services program administration such as overseeing and directing the development, implementation and evaluation of health or human services programs and services; planning and establishing short and long range program goals and objectives. Providing advice to other agency organizational units through consultation.
- Six months experience in developing policies and procedures.
- Six months experience in operations management which includes planning, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through subordinate supervisors.
