Join the Twinkle Little Stars Early Education Center team as the Lead Teacher in our small 2s classroom in New Castle!
We're looking for a caring, confident, and dependable teacher who loves toddlers and wants a classroom where they can really connect with the children they teach.
As Lead Teacher, you'll run the classroom day to day. You'll plan fun, age-appropriate activities, build routines that help two-year-olds feel safe, and guide your assistant teacher. Because our classroom is small, you'll get to know every child and family, not just keep up with a crowd.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced toddler teacher, or an assistant teacher who's ready to step up and lead their own room.
What You'll Do
- Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
- Build consistent daily routines for play, meals, transitions, diapering/potty learning, and rest
- Guide and support your assistant teacher and classroom team
- Use positive guidance and age-appropriate behavior strategies
- Build strong relationships with families and keep them updated on their child's day and progress
- Keep required classroom records and documentation
- Keep a clean, safe, organized, and licensing-ready classroom
- Follow center policies and Delaware child care licensing requirements
- Take part in training and professional development
