Job Description
This position is responsible for providing engineering support and services to both branches of the Drainage Program. The Engineer I plays a critical role in the planning, preparation, and development of tax ditch and drainage improvement projects to address drainage and tax ditch issues across the State. Engineer I is responsible for processing survey data using Civil 3D and initiating the development of design plans. With oversight from the Engineer Program Manager, the Engineer I updates the design plans until final. Additionally, the Engineer I reviews submitted plans and provides feedback as appropriate to ensure the integrity of tax ditch systems across the State are maintained.To view the entire job announcement and apply, Click Here.
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Engineer I
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Possession of a Bachelors degree (or have an anticipated graduation date within 9 months) in Civil and Environmental or official notice of passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) examination in Civil and Environmental administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES).
- Knowledge of the principles and foundation of computations included in hydrologic routing programs, including HydroCAD.
