Job Title: Production Worker

1st shift 6AM – 4:30PM Monday-Thursday $15/hour

2nd Shift – 7:30PM-6AM Sunday-Wednesday $16/hour

Job Description

The Production Worker handles finished goods and supports production operations to ensure products are palletized, wrapped, staged, and organized according to quality and shipping standards. This role loads and unloads materials, performs basic equipment setup and adjustments, monitors machine interfaces, and responds to routine operational issues to maintain steady output and meet productivity goals. The Production Worker follows all safety, security, and housekeeping guidelines while contributing to a clean, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and organize finished products in accordance with established guidelines and shipping standards.

+ Identify and verify product labeling to ensure accuracy and proper routing.

+ Palletize finished goods appropriately and coordinate the movement of materials to designated finish areas.

+ Verify correct materials for production runs and load or unload materials to and from assigned equipment.

+ Perform basic equipment setup and adjustments, including monitoring machine interfaces and controls.

+ Troubleshoot routine operational issues, respond to alarms or indicator lights, and clear material jams as needed.

+ Monitor quality, productivity, and output to support production targets.

+ Follow safety, security, and housekeeping standards to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

+ Support internal and external audit activities by completing assigned tasks, providing information, and maintaining required documentation.

+ Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall production operations.

Essential Skills

+ Experience working in production, general labor, or general manufacturing environments.

+ Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.

+ Basic machine operation skills, including monitoring interfaces and controls and making minor adjustments.

+ Ability to recognize obstacles in the production process and make minor operational adjustments while following safety and maintenance procedures.

+ Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.

+ Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a production-line environment.

+ Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

+ Capability to stand, walk, twist, reach, grip, and grasp regularly throughout the shift.

+ Ability to lift and carry moderate weight and to push and pull materials as required.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience using forklifts or other material handling equipment is beneficial.

+ Ability to communicate effectively in English is preferred.

+ Comfort working with automated production equipment and systems.

+ Willingness to support audit activities and maintain required documentation.

Work Environment

The role is based in a very clean warehouse and manufacturing environment with a temperature-controlled facility that supports comfort and safety. Most of the equipment is automated, which reduces many of the physical demands typically associated with production work, while still requiring regular standing, walking, twisting, reaching, gripping, grasping, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling. Work is production-line based, with a focus on consistent output, organization of materials, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards. The schedule operates on a four-day work week within a structured, well-maintained facility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 – $16.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
