Job Description

This level is responsible for the examination of financial institutions at the administrative level as examiner in charge and supervising a team of Bank Examiners.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Chief Bank Examiner
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  1. Possession of a Bachelors degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Management, Computer Information Systems or related field.
  2. Completion of one of the following programs:  CSBS Trust Examiner School; OR FDIC Asset Management School; OR Federal Reserve Principles of Fiduciary Management; OR Cannon Financial Institute Trust I.
  3. Three years experience in financial analysis of financial institutions to determine resulting ratios, statistical comparisons, disclosure omissions, misstatements, and other irregularities applicable to financial operations.
  4. Three years experience in examining financial institutions.
  5. Three years experience in enforcing compliance with financial institutions laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  6. Six months experience in staff supervision which includes planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others.
