Job Description
Position Summary Custodial staff person works under the direct supervision of the X to ensure that the exterior facility is maintained in a clean and safe fashion that supports the delivery of safe, effective and quality services to the youth of the club. Essential Functions- Use and maintain assigned hand tools; vacuums, brooms, mops, and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, furniture, etc
- Wash walls and equipment; use ladders when required in work assignments.
- Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies. Use as directed by Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Perform outdoor cleaning and related activities such a removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of buildings using hand-operated tools or small power equipment.
- Support and enforce all policies such as OSHA rules, health and safety regulations and guidelines, etc.
- Schedule work in manner that will least disrupt operations and work with Program Director to minimize disruptions to the program.
- Be vigilant for and address or report any safety or health issues on BGCDE property when performing day-to-day work.
