Job Description
Organizes and conducts group/ individual activities, games, dances, arts/ crafts, and community trips to develop resident skills and motivate residents in leisure time and social activities. Observing and recording resident progress, developing activity treatment/goal attainment plans and maintaining program records, assists with resident hygiene care. Conducts initial and ongoing activity assessments to ensure activities conform with overall treatment goals. Is a member of the treatment team. Operates vehicles and assume responsibility for care and safety of residents on outings. JOB REQUIREMENTS for Activity Aide I
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Knowledge of conducting group activities.
- Knowledge of working with persons with disabilities.
- Knowledge of applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of narrative report writing.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
