An incumbent in this class is responsible for conducting the maintenance, repair, testing, and preparation of voting machines and preparing electronic poll books for elections.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Voting Machine Technician
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Six months' experience in troubleshooting electronic equipment.
- Six months' experience in using electronic test equipment and hand tools.
- Six months' experience in record keeping.
- Knowledge of operating electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of components of electronic equipment.
- Knowledge of applying laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
- Knowledge of prioritizing, assigning and reviewing the work of others.
- Possession of a valid Driver's License (not suspended, revoked or cancelled, or disqualified from driving).
