Job Description
Scope of Responsibilities: Process vehicles received for international shipping to Central America and coordinate with all parties involved. Maintain compliance with applicable regulations of multiple government agencies.
Duties: Review the inspection report to ensure that the condition of the vehicle upon receipt is properly documented and matches the stated condition of the vehicle when transported to PTP; Confirm the identification of the vehicle and the shipping instructions; Coordinate with the Customer Service Supervisor for the resolution of any claims of cargos received, cargo allocation discrepancies, and retrieval of vehicles from the PTP yard if not assigned to a shipment; Prepare all required documents for international export; Coordinate with the receiving office in Central America; Book reservations with steamship companies in coordination with the Operations Department; Optimize internal costs and logistics by adjusting shipments to meet loading targets; Monitor compliance with regulations of the US Customs and Border Protection and US Coast Guard, international shipping regulations, and regulations of the country in which the receiving office is located; Produce and maintain detailed and accurate records of each transaction, including cost accounting analyses; Review Bill of Lading Freight invoices to ensure proper rating and assignment of special charges; and, Liaise with customer shippers.
