Job Description
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the cash management/deposit business development for the bank. Jointly, with the Executive Vice President, develop and implement a sales, marketing and profit plan for the Cash Management Department. Develop effective strategies for maintaining and growing business relationships with current and potential customers to achieve established objectives.
- Identify, develop, and establish new and existing cash management product and deposit relationships through personal business development efforts, referrals from existing customers, and employee referrals. Work closely and effectively with other departments of the bank to cross-sell cash management products. Responsibilities include making sales calls, performing demonstrations, and conducting product training for customers and employees to ensure growth and profitability of the Cash Management area.
- Responsible for the management and supervision of the Cash Management department, including but not limited to interviewing, hiring and training of staff, coaching, developing, career planning, and motivation for the department, holding staff accountable for results, administering appropriate rewards/recognition or disciplinary actions. Has a good working knowledge of all positions under their supervision, and will direct employees in the department to maximize efficiency while maintaining excellent customer service/support.
- Provide proposals/agreements to customers for Cash Management services, respond to questions concerning such agreements, guide and advise department employees in the more complex job functions, and negotiate deposit pricing terms and conditions with customers and prospects to ensure compliance with bank policies and procedures and applicable laws and regulations.
- Ensure they and the department staff provide personal, professional, and high quality service by addressing customers’ needs, concerns and inquiries regarding services offered, products, fees and operational questions which will enable the bank to be a premier business bank.
- Develop and maintain a personal program for maintaining an adequate level of market knowledge of business banking products and services, demonstrate positive personal skills and interpersonal behavior, attitude, judgment, communication and initiative with customers and employees in order to ensure an acceptable degree of performance.
