Job Description
This is the first level of constable work. Constables are uniformed, sworn Peace Officers carrying firearms and possessing the power of arrest. JOB REQUIREMENTS for Constable I Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Six months' experience in security such as providing protective services to persons, facilities or grounds from trespassing, theft, and other conditions.
- Six months' experience in record keeping such as maintaining records, logs, and managing filing systems used for such records.
- Six months' experience in using an automated information system to enter, update, modify, delete, retrieve/inquire and report on data.
