Job Description
Responsibilities
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule daily activities of assigned grading/earthwork crews
- Prioritize and delegate tasks while maintaining a strong focus on jobsite safety
- Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and site layouts
- Coordinate equipment, materials, and subcontractors as needed
- Track and record daily time, production, and site conditions
- Communicate with the Superintendent or Project Manager to resolve issues and coordinate work
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including dozers, excavators, loaders, and other earthmoving machinery
- Perform duties alongside crew members when required to maintain productivity
- Monitor work areas and inspect sites for potential hazards or safety concerns
- Ensure work meets required quality standards and grading specifications
- Perform additional tasks as required to support project completion
