Our Operations Group in Newport is looking to welcome a Machinist to fabricate bundles to excellent standards and specifications. You will collaborate with the team within our Manufacturing Group on a 12-hour shift. You will partner closely with the Production Supervisor.
Responsibilities
Prepare, set up, and operate CNC machines for prototyping and production
Perform manual milling and lathe operations to support project goals
Understand and work with specifications, drawings, job orders (Oracle & File Maker), work instructions, recipes and procedures
Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping
Ensure quality through attentive quality checks and adjustments
Collaborate with engineering and production teams
Maintain inventory of completed products, ensuring WIP build up in area is managed properly
Fabricate products to uphold excellent quality standards and support our customers' needs
Complete preventive maintenance on a regular, timely basis.
Guide first-line troubleshooting such as equipment malfunctions, computer program issues, setting adjustments; involving appropriate other experts as needed
Support and uphold the Company's safety and environmental standards:
Maintain a clean and organized work area Help ensure the proper disposal of waste materials
Contribute actively to safety improvement programs
Support and uphold all Company policies including safety, operating procedures, quality, attendance and proper on the job conduct
This position is shift work on a 12 hour Schedule, either dedicated day or nights___________________Are you a MATCH?
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalentrequired
3+ years Industrial Machining experience, preferably on CNC lathes
High level of attention to detail
Capability to prioritize time efficiently
Ability to work independently
Strong multi-tasking skills
Preferred Qualifications
Good judgment, attention to detail, and manual dexterity are required
Strong multi-tasking skills
Good written skills, proficient computer skills, and ability to work with MS Office tools are required
Flexibility to work in shifts and handle occasional overtime as needed
Physical stamina to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
