Job Description
Join the Division of Social Services as a Training & Education Specialist III! You will play a key role in advancing workforce learning and organizational excellence. As a member of the Learning Innovation Team, you will support all aspects of training and education operations, specifically in concepts related to public assistance programs managed by DSS. Your duties include developing, implementing, and evaluating impactful learning programs, courses, and services.This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with employees, agencies, community partners, and stakeholders while researching innovative training solutions and recommending continuous improvements. As DSS staff are located at various sites throughout Delaware, you will be required to travel throughout New Castle, Kent, and Sussex Counties to deliver consistent support. The State's fleet services will be available for use.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for C/S Training and Education Specialist III
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Two years’ experience in delivering training or education courses, services, individual or group activities using a variety of materials and equipment such as exercises, handouts, manuals, laptops, audiovisual or specialized equipment.
- One year of experience in preparing and maintaining training or education records and reports such as course schedules, rosters, training updates or records of participation.
- One year of experience in researching, selecting and designing courses, curricula, lesson plans, instructional methods, materials, or activities to meet training or education needs and learning objectives.
- One year of experience in creating methods and tools to analyze and evaluate training or education needs and effectiveness.
- Applicants must possess at least one (1) year of experience determining initial and ongoing eligibility for public assistance, healthcare, social service, or related benefit programs.
