Job Description
This position resides in the Division of Water, Director’s Office and serves as the senior level project manager and is responsible for managing complex, high-impact initiatives that support the Division’s mission to protect and manage Delaware’s water resources. Operating with a great deal of independence, this position oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of major Division projects including contract management and procurement processes focused on streamlining and modernizing permitting processes. Additional projects include updates to regulatory application systems, permitting modernization activities, and enhancements to environmental compliance tools. JOB REQUIREMENTS for Project Manager IV Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Completion of a professional project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
- Four years’ experience in project management such as planning, scheduling, staffing, coordinating, controlling, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on the status of projects.
- One year of experience in developing and making presentations to leadership and stakeholders on project status, progress, resolving issues/risk, or other project matters.
- Two years’ experience in designing, prioritizing, and defining the scope of projects including selecting appropriate project management tools, methods, and techniques.
- Six months' experience in budget, grant or contract administration such as developing, monitoring and controlling budgets, grants, or contracts.
