“Job Title: Data Engineer Designation: Data EngineeringLocation: Mph- Client Site, Delaware, USJob Summary: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Database Administration (DBA), Data Modeling, and Data Engineering. This role is critical in designing, implementing, and maintaining data systems that support our business objectives. The Data Engineer will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and accessibility.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and transformation.Implement and manage database systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.Develop and maintain data models that accurately represent business processes and data flows.Monitor and troubleshoot data-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on operations.Conduct data quality assessments and implement measures to enhance data accuracy and consistency.Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and database management.Document data architecture, processes, and workflows to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance.Mandatory Skills:Strong knowledge of Database Administration (DBA) principles and practices.Proficiency in Data Modeling techniques and tools.Experience with Data Engineering concepts, including data warehousing and data lakes.Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.Ability to design and implement ETL processes using relevant tools and technologies.Understanding of data governance and data quality frameworks.Preferred Skills:Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).Knowledge of big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Understanding of machine learning concepts and their application in data engineering.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Relevant certifications in Database Management or Data Engineering are a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.About Mphasis:Mphasis applies next-generation technology to help enterprises transform businesses globally.
