Job Description
Summary
In this role, the Slitter/Punching Operator is a person who is responsible for operating slitting machines, which use a series of rollers and blades to cut large rolls of paper or plastic into smaller rolls and punched parts machines, which use dies to produce finished parts. Slitter/Punching Operators must know how to troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the process so that production can continue without interruption.

- Promote exceptional Customer Service by building and maintaining effective communication with carriers, vendors internal and external customers in order to develop innovative solutions to meet customer needs and ensure product quality and services are never compromised.
- Providing the safest workplace possible where individuals feel a personal sense of responsibility for maintenance needs or unsafe practices, following GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards in warehouse locations, and maintaining a neat and clean work environment free of hazards.
- Properly, efficiently and accurately set up, start and operate equipment.
- Understand sales orders and customer requirements to ensure delivery of quality products.
- Capability of meeting production demands with resourceful use of raw materials.
- Promptly report equipment malfunction and necessary repairs to supervisor.
- Maintain all safety, housekeeping and other applicable standards.
- Maintain required productivity level at 100% standard.
