Job Description

TITLE:                              Senior Associate, Data Analytics (Private Credit Operations)

Duties:                            Support the analytics team in conducting financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting to deliver insights and recommendations. Gathering, cleaning, and preparing data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop models and forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Designs Guardrails for KPIs. Designs, tracks and reports MIS to guide business tactics. Tracks initiative performance against forecast. Optimize targeting within budget constraints. Create presentations on findings and provide sound recommendations to leadership to influence strategic business decision-making. Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and data management processes. Remote work permitted up to 3 days a week within a reasonable commuting distance of the Newark, DE office.

SCHEDULE:                    40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

LOCATION:                    Sallie Mae Bank, 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713

REQUIREMENTS:      Bachelor degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study and two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst or related role where required experience was gained. Employer will also accept a Master’s in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or closely related field of study in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience. Also requires education or experience in the following:

•                                                                  SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in analytics such as SAS;

•                                                                  Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI;

•                                                                  Conduct data analysis to support business planning and decision making; and

•                                                                  Development and maintaining data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
