Job Description
Assistant Childcare Director
Assistant Childcare Director supports the Director in managing daily operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality early childhood education and care.
Core Responsibilities

Operations: Assist in running the center in the Director’s absence, ensuring compliance with state and local health, safety, and licensing regulations.

Program Development: Help design and implement educational programs that promote children’s physical, emotional, and intellectual growth.

Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and evaluate staff; maintain appropriate teacher–child ratios; and ensure staff qualifications meet state requirements

Parent & Family Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for parents, addressing concerns, and providing updates.

Facility & Safety: Oversee cleanliness, security, and maintenance; ensure emergency preparedness and staff training.

Curriculum & Instruction: Support lesson planning, monitor student progress, and collaborate with teachers to address student behavioral and learning needs.
Qualifications & Skills

Education: Diploma, GED, or equivalent; Associates degree bachelor's degree Preferred.

Certifications: CPR and First Aid certifications required.

Experience: At least 3 years in a childcare setting; prior supervisory experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities; ability to balance multiple priorities.
