The Moorings at Lewes, a Springpoint Senior Living Life Plan Community located in beautiful coastal Lewes, Delaware, is seeking a Full-Time Activities Aide to join our team. This isn't just a job — it's a calling. You'll be at the heart of resident life, creating the moments our residents look forward to all week.
Responsibilities:
- As an Activities Aide, you are a vital force in the daily life of our residents. Working closely with the Activities Director, you will:
- Plan, organize, and lead therapeutic activity programs for groups and individuals, tailored to residents' physical, cognitive, and social needs
- Assist and adapt activities to meet the needs of residents with physical limitations or cognitive impairments (including dementia).
- Assist the Activities Director in developing a dynamic, person-centered programming calendar
- Prepare supplies, participant lists, and activity schedules
- Assist with special events and holiday celebrations
- Escort residents to and from activities and community outings — safely and enthusiastically
- Conduct group activities with energy, creativity, and genuine engagement
- Maintain accurate daily participation records to support resident care planning as well as communicate resident preferences, behaviors, and changes to the Activities Director and or care team
- Attend required educational offerings in patient activities and resident care.
