Job Description
Journeyman Electrician Requirements and Qualifications
- Must be state licensed journeyman electrician
- Valid driver’s license required
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
- Solid working knowledge of commercial and residential electrical systems
- Extensive experience in both commercial and residential work is a plus
- Able to work independently
- Take great pride in your work
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude
- Good customer service skills
- Good communication skills, able to keep accurate records
Journeyman Electrician Duties and Responsibilities
- Arrive at service calls on time
- Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide estimates for cost and timeline prior to beginning work
- Acquire signature of client on service agreement prior to beginning work
- Conduct all work to the very best of your ability, as if it were your own home/business
- Notify client immediately if plan needs to be adjusted due to unforeseen circumstances
- Perform routine maintenance on various systems as requested
- Follow specifications on blueprints/diagrams/technical drawings for installations
- Conduct all repairs and installations according to code
- Utilize all safety equipment and follow all safety regulations and guidelines
- Maintain a neat and organized work environment
- Maintain a stock of common materials in your service vehicle
- See that all tools and equipment are functioning properly at the beginning of shift
- Obtain payment and be sure customer is satisfied before departing
- Report and issues to management
