Job Description
The Nurse Consultant role provides expert nursing consultation to clinical staff, providers, and community partners. Duties include developing guidelines and manuals for specific aspects of nursing services, formulating standards of nursing practice in a specialty area, and ensuring quality assurance with regard to competence in theory and technique; preparing educational materials and assisting in planning and development of health and educational programs for staff and community groups; and conducting/facilitating training(s) or in-services as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Nurse Consultant
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
- Possession of a a Master's degree or higher in Nursing or Nursing Education.
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.
Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met.
- Possession of a Delaware Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure with Family Practice Board Certification.
- Possession of Delaware prescriptive authority or eligibility for Delaware prescriptive authority.
