Job Description
The incumbent in this position will oversee the operations of the Delaware Psychiatric Center treatment units. Responsibilities include conducting rounds on Delaware Psychiatric Center treatment units to assure and enforce adherence to hospital policies/procedures and state and federal regulatory standards; coordinating clinical and administrative activities; responding to medical, psychiatric, and environmental emergencies; and promoting a therapeutic milieu based on the principles of the Recovery Model and Trauma Informed Care.To view the entire job announcement and apply, Click Here.
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Nursing Supervisor
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
Nursing Supervisor - Psychiatric Nursing
- At least three years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Psychiatric Nursing OR a Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing and at least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Psychiatric Nursing OR a Master's degree or higher in Nursing and at least one year experience as a Registered Nurse in Psychiatric Nursing.
- Possession of a Delaware Registered Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.
- Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees.
