Job Description
Job Summary:
As a member of our care team, contributes to providing patient-centered care delivery. Provides initial preparation of patients before the provider’s encounter; assists providers in patient care activities, as directed; updates/documents records; orders and restocks exam rooms and office supplies as needed.
General Responsibilities
- Upholds DCA’s Values and Goals by adhering to our Standards of Performance.
- Participates in team-based patient-centered care delivery.
- Prepares exam rooms; assures rooms are clean, neat, and stocked.
- Patient preparation, i.e., chief complaint, vital signs, weight, temperature, medications, past medical history.
- Performs various tasks and procedures as assigned and qualified by training or instruction.
- Inventories and advise the Office Manager of medical/office supplies as required.
- Successfully handles and responds to communications to achieve desired outcomes.
- Answers telephone and takes necessary action.
- Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of key responsibilities.
- Technically adept at all facets of their work.
- Keeps abreast of trends and changes to improve quality and safety in patient care. Interacts with all courteously and respectfully, inspiring confidence by performing and communicating professionally and ethically.
- Actively participates in specific projects and staff meetings as assigned.
- Being a Team Player is essential.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
