Agilent is seeking a highly motivated, competitive, enthusiastic, flexible, people oriented person to join our inside sales team as a Chromatography Inside Sales & Vacant Account Manager. This role will be a dual role supporting the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Central Plains team in addition to covering open account manager vacancies when required to expanding Agilent's market penetration.
As an inside sales representative, you will be responsible for selling company products, solutions and services to customers in HPLC, LC/MS, GC, GC/MS, UV-Vis, CE and Networked Data System products to end-user customers in an assigned territory primarily through outbound and inbound telephone sales activities. The role is also responsible for covering vacant territories for account manager positions currently open to provide a seamless coverage as a replacement is identified and placed into position.
As an integral member of a sales team, you will work together with the field staff focusing on acquiring new customers and retaining and growing the existing installed base of customers. In this role you carry quota, interpret customer needs and proactively act to understand those needs, actively create business opportunities and represent Agilent in all sales-oriented activities. Key skills are management of your own sales funnel, Agilent portfolio and systems knowledge, account management knowledge, and pro-actively seeking out business opportunities via Marcom or other creative business initiatives. Regular communication of deals, issues and opportunities with the relevant Field Engineer will also be required. Your excellent technical knowledge and communication skills are essential for credibility working with customers.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Drive sales cycle and forecast sales accurately for the chromatography and mass spectrometry sales within assigned territory
Responsible for developing customer relationships and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
Proactively prospect for new customers and business leveraging digital tools and analytics
Collaborate across all Agilent channels including consumable sales, service sales, service delivery, diagnostic and genomics sales, marketing & customer service
Provide timely responses to all customer requests
Apply rigor to CRM updates including forecasting, marketing attributes, and customer contact information

Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent
4+ years of sales experience in life science industry. Chromatography & MS sales experience preferred
Account Management experience a plus
Ability to work independently and operate with high degree of flexibility
Strong problem-solving skills
Desire to work in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
Experience and comfort using digital selling tools
Excellent verbal, written and phone communication skills, with a strong interest in interacting directly with customers via phone and email
Requires general proficiency with Microsoft Office, systems and procedures to accomplish job
Experience with SAP CRM a plus
The US pay range for this full-time position is $44.93 - $88.36/hr, plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum new hire pay for the position across the relevant US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
