JOB TITLE: Quant Analytics

LOCATION: 301 N Walnut Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. Telecommuting permitted up to 40% of the week.

DUTIES:  Interpret large amounts of complex data to formulate problem statements and draw concise conclusions regarding underlying risk dynamics, trends, and opportunities. Drive, develop, communicate, and implement optimal fraud strategies including rules, cutoffs, policies, and operational flows, to protect the bank from fraud related losses and improve customer experience at Point of Sale. Identify key risk indicators and metrics, develop key metrics, enhance reporting, and identify new areas of analytic focus to better capture fraud. Provide subject matter expertise on strategy implementation/testing and initiatives related to the improvement of risk mitigation processes and infrastructure. Work with cross-functional partners to understand and address key business challenges. Identify business opportunities by performing well thought analysis including data mining, ensuring data integrity, and synthesizing and communicating findings to senior management. Assist team efforts in the critical development of new fraud pattern or spending pattern detection tools. Communicate with Operations, IT, and Risk Management teams.

REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Information Systems and Operations Management, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field of study plus 1 year of experience in the job offered or as a Quant Analytics, Business Intelligence Analyst, Research Assistant, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Operations Management, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, or related quantitative field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Quant Analytics, Business Intelligence Analyst, Research Assistant, or related occupation. Requires experience in the following: Processing, manipulating, analyzing and interpreting large datasets in SQL and SAS; Database management systems for efficient data retrieval and storage using SQL; Writing, Debugging and Optimizing code using SAS and Python; Using Teradata, Oracle, UNIX, and MS Office related products including Pivot tables, charts, graphs, and formulas in Excel; Statistical techniques using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and correlation analysis; Machine Learning algorithms using regression analysis, decision trees and clustering; Data mining, analyzing trends, summarizing findings and impacts and producing executive level reporting; Creating meaningful Data visualizations using Tableau; Developing strategic KPI metrics; Risk Analysis and creating risk based strategies; and Identifying process improvement opportunities and automating manual processes. Experience in the skills may be gained through pre- or post-Bachelor's degree experience. Full-time.
