We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a detail-oriented Tax Analyst Intermediate with 3-6 years of experience. Based in Newark, Delaware, this role involves working closely with various teams within the Tax Utility department, providing client support, and ensuring accurate tax processes. You will be a crucial point of contact for tax inquiries and contribute to the proactive management of client relationships. The workplace is hybrid, allowing for a mix of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for tax inquiries, ensuring prompt and accurate resolution.
- Maintain and analyze client tax accounts, identifying and escalating any potential tax risks.
- Work on data reconciliation tasks, utilizing tools such as Excel pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Contribute to service reviews and client meetings, providing insight on tax components.
- Review operational tax processes regularly, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Assist in client tax account reviews and contribute to ad-hoc projects across the Tax Operations team.
- Support and guide on various tax matters such as outstanding/expiring tax documentation, relief at source, tax refunds, and tax regulatory reporting.
- Analyze recurring issues through regular review of metrics and develop programs for service enhancements.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a strong attention to detail and effective client service and communication skills.
- Develop innovative and creative solutions to complex tax issues.
Requirements – Demonstrated experience in tax accounting and audit procedures.- Proficient in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Proven ability in managing operations and executing tasks efficiently.
- Strong research skills to stay updated with tax laws and regulations.
- Experience in performing reconciliations and reviewing financial notes.
- Ability to provide workstation support and manage client relations.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
- Skilled in creating ad hoc reports and metric reporting.
- Experience with SAN – Storage Area Network and REST API is a plus.
- Ability to handle refund requests and contribute to process enhancements.
- Proficient in using creative solutions to solve complex tax problems.
- Experience in quality control processes and documentation practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
