Chemours is seeking a Manufacturing Technology Senior Manager to join our growing R&D and manufacturing team!

The Manufacturing Technology Senior Manager provides strategic management and direction to manufacturing technical resources to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain and improve the manufacturing operations. Works closely with the R&D and manufacturing teams at a strategic level to define process technology direction and programs of significance to the business. Responsible for working with operations leadership to define goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and budget forecasts. Works with site and unit MT managers to develop and apply resources to meet these objectives. Responsible for implementing corporate best practices as a member of manufacturing technology leadership for the development of technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of our plants. The Manufacturing Technology (MT) function consists of Chemical Process Engineers, Mechanical and E&I Engineers.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

+ Provides guidance to MT managers in all unit and/or plants in the TSS business to deliver the technology and process capability needed to operate, maintain, and improve the manufacturing operations

+ Works closely with the Plant Managers to define goals (safety, asset productivity and quality) and leads technical resources to meet these objectives

+ Ensure adequate PSM processes and mechanisms are in place for Technology in all manufacturing sites to achieve the EHS goals for the business

+ Responsible for the development of technical resources and the building of the capabilities needed to support the safe and efficient operation of all plants. Coordinates effective leveraging of manufacturing technology resources to optimize utilization.

+ Coordinates the Energy & FOC network for the business to ensure the CRC business goals are met in alignment with corporate goals

+ Provides technical guidance to business initiatives to identify and enable contract manufacturing partners in support of the business growth strategy

+ Functions as the sponsor of technology teams in TSS composed of MT, R&D, and leveraged engineering resources

+ Ensure adequate staffing is in place to advance critical corporate initiatives to achieve net neutrality by 2050

+ Ensures effective deployment of initiatives and staffing in the journey to achieve Industry 4.0 in collaboration with the Automation & Process Control corporate network (A&PC)

+ Travel includes at least one visit to each of the 4 manufacturing sites per year

The following is required for this role:

+ BS or higher degree in an engineering or science discipline.

+ 10+ years of Operations or technical experience in the chemical and/or oil manufacturing industry

+ High degree of initiative and flexibility to facilitate moving projects/programs forward safely and in a timely manner

+ Ability to prioritize and manage short duration deadlines, emergency situations, and multiple priorities

+ Strong verbal and written communications skills with strong customer focus and ability to conceptualize customer needs based on customer input. Proven ability to effectively communicate through all levels of an organization

+ Demonstrated leadership capability – personnel development, leading teams, resolving conflict, sound judgment

+ Demonstrated ability to teach, coach, mentor develop others, and work in a team-based environment.

The following is preferred for this role:

+ Chemical or Mechanical engineer preferred

+ 5+ years of supervisory experience or program management experience.

+ Strong Process Safety Management (PSM) background

Pay Range (in local currency):

$150,528.00 – $235,200.00

Annual Bonus Target:

18%
