What Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization’s assets.
Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.
Job Summary
+ Reports to Finance Manager, PD Operations with high visibility and engagement with the Regional VP Operations, Director Operations and PD Operations Finance team
+ Provides financial support and leadership for the PD Operations region including at the individual DC site level
+ Business partner to the key Operations personnel including Director of Operations, Site Management at core FDCs, Tax, Risk Management, Operational Excellence, JLL, Internal Audit and Accounting
Responsibilities
+ Prepares/consolidates monthly financial reporting including variance and financial statement analysis for PD Operations. Includes SG&A and Financial & Operational performance and key metrics.
+ Clearly communicates a cohesive and concise story around business drivers behind financial data and potential implications on future results for Supply Chain
+ Analyzes business trends; leads and aligns financial forecasts with Operations team, understanding risks and opportunities
+ Leads the Operations annual budget and long-range planning processes for various cost categories and Inventory Reserve, incorporating business initiatives, economic trends and operational effectiveness. Aligns budget to business strategies and gains alignment from functional partners (i.e., Commercial and Supply Chain)
+ Optimizes process (i.e., data quality, systems) with Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Explores and embraces opportunities for doing things in new ways. Improves processes, initiates, and/or supports improvements in work processes to increase efficiency.
+ Identifies opportunities to drive cost out initiatives to improve key metrics (i.e., LPH/TPH, cost to serve)
+ Serves as an objective financial steward with an enterprise perspective, safeguarding our company’s assets. Ensures strong controls are in place and operating effectively.
Qualifications
+ 10+ years’ experience in a finance function preferred. At least 5+ years in FP&A roles, a leadership position and preferably in a large complex organization preferred
+ Bachelor’s degree, MBA strongly preferred
+ Healthcare industry experience preferred
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint preferred

+ Strong financial and business acumen; familiar with financial systems and various aspects of financial reporting
+ 80/20 work approach, ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple on-going projects
+ Ability to distill insights from complex analyses and create concise and compelling presentations to senior leadership audience
Anticipated salary range: $102,000 – $145,700
