About the Role: The Aerospace and Defense Business Unit in Gore Performance Solutions is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to own the day-to-day responsibilities managing and maintaining an AS9100 compliant multi-site Quality System. These manufacturing sites are located across the Newark, DE / Elkton, MD area.The associate will partner with the European counterpart to facilitate effective use, management, audit, and review of the Quality Management System.Success will be measured through maintaining certification and achieving the agreed Quality Objectives.The associate will also have the responsibility to act as a Global Process Owner for various QMS processes.The associate will be required to partner with all functions and work closely with Plant Leaders and leadership teams.

This position will be located at afacility in Newark, Delaware or Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.

Responsibilities:
Ensure AS9100 conformance of the quality management system is established, maintained and continuously improved
Ensure changes to the QMS are planned and integrated to maintain the QMS
Ensure a customer focus in the QMS
Ensure plant processes are aligned with QMS, including new work or plant-based improvements
Support QMS process implementation with the plant or functional teams
Own and prepare for Audits (External, Internal), including acting as a point of contact for the certification bodies and auditors
Organization & facilitation of regional Management Review events
Support Process Owners in ensuring that QMS risks are identified, regularly assessed, and appropriately mitigated, through KPI review and management
Collaborate with other regions in the identification and implementation of global harmonization needs relative to the QMS
Process Owner for Document and Information management and other processes as required
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (preferably in engineering, supply chain management, or business) or equivalent experience on the job
Minimum of 5 years experience in an ISO certified manufacturing facility working with or supporting a management system
Experience in leading and managing audits to ISO 9001, TS/IATF 16949, ISO 13485, or AS9100 requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal and multicultural skills
Proven success in working with associates across the world in a global business
Excellent prioritization, planning, and organizational skills with proven track record of consistently finishing projects, producing results, and driving sustainment
Demonstrated problem solving skills, both system and process based
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proven ability to influence across functions and leadership
Ability to travel 5%

Desired Qualifications:
Certified AS9100 Auditor
Certified Quality Engineer or Quality Manager (ASQ)
Continuous Improvement skillset
