ChristianaCare's Medical Group is searching for an Employee Relations Specialist to join our Human Resources team and partner with our Human Resource Business Partners, Operational and Clinical leaders.

This experienced HR professional will provide Employee Relations (ER) support to managers and caregiver staff to promote positive employee relations. They will collaborate with HR business partners to drive caregiver engagement and a healthy workplace.

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday: This is a hybrid role which requires being on-site at least once a week.

No weekends/holidays

Key Responsibilities

Act as primary point of contact for employee relations issues for assigned Medical Group clients providing support, guidance, and feedback to both caregiver staff and managers.

Stay abreast of changing regulations to drive resolution of issues that align with organizational policies.

Provide guidance to clients to maintain labor law compliance and a positive work environment. Interprets and communicates policies, including the rationale (i.e., legal compliance, culture, best practices) at all system levels.

Review and provide feedback for caregiver action plans as well as employee disciplinary actions.

With limited direction, manage complex disciplinary action and conflict management processes to ensure workplace issues are resolved. Conduct allegations of harassment & discrimination investigations.

Update and maintain employee relations cases within case management system; maintain accurate and timely investigation records.

Maintain knowledge of broad-based Human Resources policies and practices and new technologies

With direction, monitor and analyze employee relations trends for causes of individual caregiver or workgroup issues and recommend solutions.

Consult with and advise management regarding the interpretation of relevant performance and behavior policies/practices to ensure compliance with legal and administrative requirements; facilitate resolution of issues.

Conducts fact finding for third party claims (Unemployment, etc.)

Point of contact for internal and external counsel with EEOC, ADEA, Title VII, etc., claims.

Represent Christiana Care at unemployment hearings.

Participate in employee relations education as needed.

Partner with Leave team on caregiver accommodations escalations and solutions for caregiver leave non-compliance.

Guide caregivers and leaders through problem-solving appeal process.

Respond to escalated provider questions from Caregiver Service Center.

Perform other related duties as required.

Position Qualifications

B.S. degree in Human Resources or related field.

Three (3) years' experience in Human Resources. PHR/SPHR certification preferred.

An equivalent combination of education (bachelor's degree minimum) and experience may be substituted.
