We are seeking a Global Category Manager for Software and Telecom. Responsibilities include: developing and implementing effective procurement strategies for a Software and Telecom, including identifying cost-saving opportunities, managing supplier relationships, and negotiating contracts. Category Manager will work closely with other teams within the organization to ensure that Procurement and Sourcing efforts are aligned with company objectives.
Please note our team members work onsite 3 days each week. Candidates should be local to Wilmington, DE and live within a commutable distance to the corporate site.
Your Key Responsibilities :
+ Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned categories in alignment with business goals and objectives.
+ Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive process improvements to optimize procurement activities.
+ Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities in assigned categories.
+ Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization to identify and address procurement-related issues.
+ Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
+ Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and costs.
Your Qualification Profile:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
+ Proven experience (5+ years) in procurement or sourcing activities, with at least 3 years of experience managing Software and Telecom
+ Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, market research, and cost modeling methods.
+ Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
+ Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
+ Strong analytical and project management skills.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement-related software applications.
+ Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
