Job Description:
CDM Smith currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our global team. This position will support our growing U.S. Federal business with a focus on our domestic projects.
We are open to this position having: in the office, hybrid, or remote work location options in the domestic United States.
As a member of this team, you would contribute to CDM Smith’s mission by:
- Apply principles of the FAR/DFARs and other government regulations to solicit competitive pricing to award Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) and purchase orders consistent with contractual terms, company procurement policies, and procedures in support of prime contract requirements, operational goals and business strategy.
- Evaluate supplier quotes and proposals
- Negotiate standard terms with vendors for award of purchase orders under direction of procurement manager and OGC, if necessary
- Partner with project and administrative staff to identify commercial and non-commercial items or specifications to meet their requirements necessary.
- Apply principles of the FAR DFAR and other government regulations to research and/or identify commercial and non-commercial items as well adherence to procurement and good business practices.
- Lead decision making activities in support of proposal activity by researching and providing prices to document fair and reasonableness.
- Manages file documentation in accordance with company policies/procedures.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead and/or manage procurement actions with suppliers.
- Manage the approval process with internal and external clients for payment of vendor invoices.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 4 years of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
- Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous procurement/buying experience for federal government contracts.
- Knowledge of FAR regulations.
- Experience in Microsoft Office.
- Experience with Oracle R12 – iProcurement.
- Experience with SharePoint.

Additional Compensation:
All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.
