Job Description
The Powder Coating Maintenance Supervisor is crucial in ensuring the efficient operation and longevity of the powder coating equipment. This position requires keen attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and technical expertise in maintaining and repairing powder coating machinery. The ideal candidate will proactively identify and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team of mechanics.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on powder coating equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting components for wear and damage.
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance.
- Replace worn or defective parts as needed, following manufacturer guidelines and safety protocols.
- Conduct preventative maintenance procedures to prevent breakdowns and prolong equipment life.
Calibration and Adjustment:
- Calibrate powder coating equipment to ensure accurate and consistent application of coatings.
- Adjust settings and parameters to achieve the desired coating thickness, texture, and appearance.
- Monitor equipment performance during operation and make real-time adjustments to maintain quality standards.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables required for powder coating maintenance and repair.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed to prevent shortages and delays in maintenance activities.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, including repair logs, service reports, and equipment manuals.
- Document equipment modifications and upgrades for future reference and regulatory compliance.
- Report any safety hazards or compliance issues to appropriate personnel and participate in corrective actions as needed.
Training and Collaboration:
- Provide training and guidance to production personnel on proper equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as production and engineering, to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
- Stay informed about new technologies and industry best practices related to powder coating equipment maintenance.
