Job Description
The Innovation and Development Division (IDD) drives the innovation strategy for the Hubs and Operations, and contributes to the Group's transformation. It is responsible for imagining, developing and incubating new solutions until they are brought to market, particularly when it comes to offers with a high technological content (including digital and IT). IDD gathers more than 3,000 employees from 70 nationalities at 60 sites.

The Delaware Research and Technology Center (DRTC) in Newark, DE provides innovation and technical support to Air Liquide's businesses and markets in the Americas and worldwide.
Air Liquide's Delaware Research & Technology Center (DRTC) seeks a skilled technician for the Facilities Support Team. This role will focus on support of electrical equipment within the site. Work schedule is generally Monday through Friday, days with only occasional evenings or weekend work. Qualified US military veterans are encouraged to apply!
Responsibilities:
Serve as a safety role model; promote a high level of safety awareness; adhere to and support the continuous improvement of all safety practices / procedures.
Provide technical support at the research center in the areas of electrical work and maintenance.
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical, instrumentation and related mechanical equipment (i.e. boilers, HVAC, UPS, security systems, emergency generators, etc
Installation and troubleshooting of equipment and electrical services within the research platforms etc.
Calibration of gas sensors, instrumentation equipment, pressure relief valves etc.
Perform general repairs from work requests, troubleshooting, repair of equipment, and resolution of technical and operational issues.
Installation of electrical panels, circuits and control systems as well as gas tubing systems.
Participate in the creation, updates and reviews of HAZ-OPS, P&IDs, and SOPs.
Develop cost estimates and economic justifications to facilitate the decision-making process
Assist Facilities personnel in other occupations as needed. This is a multi-craft position. Work as part of a cross-functional team to support research.
Work occasional overtime, on call shifts and fill in on other shifts as needed which may require weekend or evening work__________________Are you a MATCH?
Summary of requirements:
Valid Delaware Journeyman Electrical License
5 or more years of experience in plant maintenance, laboratory, process industry, pharmaceutical support or comparable military setting
Extensive knowledge of Electrical systems along with experience in plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, water system, etc., for facilities repair
Extensive understanding of NFPA 70 ( NEC).
A leader for the facility in NFPA 70E and electrical safety requirements
Industrial electrical systems and equipment to 12,460 volt, 3-phase
Ability to use hand and power tools including forklift operation, lifts, etc
Solution-oriented, with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Knowledge in gas piping systems and O2 clean procedures
Knowledge in calibration procedures
Orbital welding of gas tubing systems ability.
Knowledge to read electrical drawings and blueprints, P&ID's, layout work, etc.
Work closely with the research groups supporting the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of their projects.
