The DuPont Electronics and Industrial site in Newark, DE has an opening for a Quality Systems Engineer. This individual will be responsible for ensuring product quality standards are met by facilitating internal and customer quality requests, troubleshooting frontend and backend system database escalations, and managing and leading the execution of the quality team’s portfolio of system improvements.
In addition to traditional quality responsibilities, a major focus for this role will be to convert historically manual processes into semi-automatic processes through application development and tool implementation. This individual will lead our system improvement project portfolio in order to build a digitally mature set of Newark quality systems.
Please note this is an onsite position.
Your Key Responsibilities :
+ Internal and Customer Quality Requests
+ Coordinate and administer customer specification review, product change notification, customer survey, and related document work processes
+ Assign review actions to the appropriate subject matter experts
+ Build and maintain a customer communication repository/database and establish a work process for standardized communication
+ Add to or update the parts recipe production database with new manufacturing specifications
+ Systems Improvement:
+ Work with the quality team to identify, recommend, and lead efforts to convert manual/administrative work process steps into digitally automated steps
+ Facilitate the conversion from obsolete systems to new systems
+ Report and Dashboard Management
+ Responsible for the upkeep of existing reports and dashboards
+ Build an integrated set of dashboards for reporting site quality metrics using Power BI
+ Develop work process flows to facilitate improved adherence to site quality principles and various business needs
+ System Troubleshooting and Support:
+ Provide systems support via troubleshooting both backend and frontend escalations
+ Help support other team members in monitoring of database systems to ensure functionality and performance.
+ Manage the cleanliness of quality systems data throughout various systems
+ Deliver queries, job aids, and 1-on-1 support for various system inquiries
Your Qualification Profile:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in STEM-related field is required
+ 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
+ Experience operating within Quality Management Systems and the ISO9001 standard
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
+ Proficient in creating Power Automate work flows
+ Proficient in building Power BI reports and dashboards
+ Ability to identify opportunities for technical improvements across multiple data pipelines and recommend solutions
+ Strong understanding of SQL database schema and experience building SQL data queries
+ A quality-driven mindset and commitment to only delivering quality work
+ Customer service attitude
+ Strong communication skills
+ Adept at using influence and persuasion appropriately
Preferred
+ Formal training to the ISO9001 standard
+ ISO Lead Auditor certification
+ Proficient in SAP
