ChristianaCare's Medical Group is looking to hire a Part-Time Access Coordinator to support the Outpatient Neurology practice.

The Access Coordinator is responsible for obtaining benefits and precertification/prior authorizations for imaging, testing and medications. They will be working with a fantastic team of one provider and a Senior Office Assistant.

Work Schedule:

Day shift : 8:30 to 5pm OR 8:00am to 4:30pm

20 hours work week or 2 and a half days a week.

No weekends/holidays

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and prioritize incoming patient orders.

Obtain authorization via payor website or by phone.

Schedules Neurology patients the provider

Administrative duties including answering phone, desktop duties and other follow up related to the practice.

Verify patient's insurance benefits.

Evaluate portions to be paid and notify the patients of their deductibles and co-insurance amount.

Contact the referring office to obtain any referrals required.

Gather information needed to complete the prior authorization and contact patients as needed to obtain additional information.

Performs daily operational duties such as insurance verification/pre-authorization, utilizing Powerchart, Soarian, Revenue Cycle and insurance web-site systems.

Performs other related duties as required .

High School Diploma

At least 2 years prior authorization experience preferred.

Familiar with medical terminology

Possess professional phone etiquette.

Ability to apply good verbal and written communication.
