Our large Manufacturing client is looking to hire a Lean Manufacturing Consultant to join their team in Tucson AZ and Nogales, AZ. This individual will be responsible for overseeing kaizen events taking place in a manufacturing setting. This individual should be a Six Sigma Black Belt as well as have experience overseeing lean manufacturing and Kaizen events taking place in a pharmaceutical, or medical device manufacturing setting. Specifically they will be responsible for:
Assessment and Analysis:
Conducting thorough assessments of current manufacturing processes, identifying areas for improvement and waste reduction. Analyzing existing data acquisition systems and processes to identify gaps and inefficiencies.Implementation of 5S:
Developing and implementing 5S methodology to optimize workplace organization, cleanliness, and efficiency. Training employees on 5S principles and ensure sustained adherence to the methodology.Manufacturing Flow Optimization:
Working with cross-functional teams to streamline manufacturing processes and eliminate bottlenecks. Implementing lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce lead times, and improve throughput.Data Acquisition Improvement:
Evaluating current data acquisition systems and tools, identifying opportunities for enhancement and integration with IQMS. Implementing improvements to data collection methods, ensuring accurate and timely capture of manufacturing data. Integrating manufacturing data with IQMS system for real-time monitoring and analysis.Continuous Improvement:
Establishing a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing organization. Facilitating regular reviews and audits to monitor progress and identify further optimization opportunities. Implementing feedback mechanisms to gather insights from employees and stakeholders for ongoing refinement of processes.Training and Support:
Providing training and support to manufacturing teams on Lean principles, IQMS tools, and best practices for optimization. Offering guidance and assistance to resolve any issues or challenges encountered during the implementation process.Documentation and Reporting:
Maintaining comprehensive documentation of implemented processes, methodologies, and improvement initiatives. Generating regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), highlighting improvements achieved and areas for further enhancement.Project Management:
Managing timelines, resources, and budgets for manufacturing optimization projects. Coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors as needed to ensure successful implementation.Quality Assurance:
Ensuring that all optimization initiatives comply with relevant quality standards and regulations. Implementing quality control measures to monitor and maintain the effectiveness of implemented improvements.Risk Management:
Identifying potential risks and obstacles to successful implementation of optimization initiatives, developing mitigation strategies as needed.
