Job Description
Basic Function: The Volunteer Manager is responsible for all aspects of the volunteer program.

Principal Accountabilities:
- Schedule all volunteers insuring proper coverage daily in the ReStore
- Respond daily to inquiries regarding volunteer opportunities from individuals and groups
- Maintain an existing volunteer base with daily maintenance of the Salesforce site in a proactive manner to insure all volunteer hours are documented in a timely manner and accurately
- Recruit new volunteers through phone contacts, business calls and community/civic group interaction
- Orientate and train all volunteers including devising and updating volunteer policies and procedures and Habitat history and principles.
- Fostering an open line of communication with all volunteers, new and regulars
- Maintaining accurate records of all court ordered and DSS volunteers
- Develop and implement a volunteer recognition program
- Attend monthly community meetings and weekly correspondence with community contacts
- Other tasks as required by the Chief Operating Officer
Knowledge/Skills Required:
- Nonprofit experience preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Volunteer management experience preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to pass a background check
Internal Interactions: ReStore Staff, Habitat Affiliate Staff
Estimated Time Commitment: This in an exempt, full-time (40 hours/week) with some evening and weekend hours required. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
External Interactions: Donors/Customers, Volunteers, Other ReStore Managers/Directors, Wholesalers
