As the Ambulatory Pharmacy Services Clinical Pharmacy Supervisor you will provide direction and supervision of clinic personnel with the goal of providing safe, efficient, timely and accurate medication management services and perform direct patient care functions.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises activities of staff to assure expected level of services
Coordinates and integrates clinic services with the operations of Medical Group practices and other departments or services, as needed
Coordinates the creation, revision, and approval of protocols in accordance with policy
Ensures the patient care provided is according to the protocols, guidelines, and policies and aligns with health system goals
Monitors performance metrics to identify areas of opportunity
Responsible for training new personnel, including departmental and position specific orientation, departmental policies and procedures, Learning Space curriculum, clinical credentialing, and other training as appropriate.
Responsible for performance evaluations of assigned personnel
Responsible for creation and maintenance of staff assignments and schedules
Responsible for assigned departmental quality improvement programs and initiatives
Establishes processes that provide for escalation of patient care concerns
Develops a program to create/maintain competencies of the staff
Ensures medical record documentation and hand-offs between disciplines occur in a timely, effective and compliant manner
Education and Experience Requirements:
Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree required
ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency required
ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency preferred
BPS certification preferred
Supervisory experience preferred
At least three years of ambulatory clinical pharmacy experience
Current licensure (or eligible to reciprocate) in the State of Delaware
